The metal frame around the four rounded corners has been given a subtle cut, that creates a bit of break between the straight left and right sides. This adds to the design. Then, the metal around the headphone jack on the top has been gently curved and the volume rocker on the left has been carved to make the buttons more prominent.<br /><br />The big difference, however, between the iPhone 5S and the Alpha in terms of design is that the Samsung's phone is not an all-metal phone. It still uses the plastic back cover. This is the main reason why the phone is so light. Another good bit about this back cover is that it is unlike the plastic back covers used by Samsung on its previous phones. It has a very fine texture and soft-to-touch feel similar to what we get on devices like the Nexus 5 and the Moto X. And it doesn't have -- thank god -- the shiny plastic finish that most Galaxy phones have.<br />
