Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this flick is set to release next week. While Khan is likely to end this year on a high note with PK, next year the versatile actor will have no release. He won’t be doing Satyamev Jayate either. In fact, he isn’t planning to direct a film as well. So its safe to say that Aamir will missing from the action in 2015. However, the scenario could have been different if Mr Perfectionist had not turned two offers. Yes, Kiran Rao’s hubby dearest was approached by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for their next production venture which would have brought Khan and Deepika Padukone together on the big screen for the first time. However, the Dhoom:3 baddie backed out citing creative differences and script issues. However, there is also buzz that the real reason behind the PK hero turning the Farhan’s film is remuneration.<br /><br />Apart from this project, Aamir was offered a film by Karan Johar. The Dharma head honcho has been wanting to team with the Fanaa actor for the longest time. Johar even had few meeting with Aamir apparently the duo even worked on the script together but eventually Azad’s daddy dearest rejected the proposal and left Karan in a sticky situation. Had Mr Perfectionist said yes to KJo’s venture then we would have seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aamir onscreen.<br /><br />Yes, we know the Satyamev Jayate host is very picky when it comes to choosing films but then at times it better to trust the makers and go with the flow then sit back and fuss over script. And if Aamir can do a typical Bollywood masala flick like Dhoom:3 then and we are pretty sure what Farhan and Karan offered him would have been worth doing.</div>

The film released on Friday and got off to a flying start despite garnering mixed reviews from the critics. Though officially the figures have not been announced, trade reports suggests that K.S. Ravikumar’s highly anticipated directorial venture Lingaa raked in Rs 16 crore on day 1 in Tamil Nadu. With this, Rajinikanth starrer has broken the first day record of Vjay’s recently released blockbuster film Kaththi. Well, the figures may vary a bit since nobody associated with Lingaa has till now announced the box office collection. However, industrywallas down South are sure that Rajinikanth’s film has had a record first day collection.<br /><br />Also, Lingaa has not only fared well in India but abroad as well. Yesterday, ATMUS Entertainment, distributors of Tamil films in US, had tweeted, “#Lingaa thalaivar makes into 7th highest all time Tamil grosser of USA with just 1 day gross. Will enter top 5 today.”<br /><br />Considering the Thalaivar has returned to the big screen after four long years, its not surprising that people are rushing to the cinema halls to get a glimpse of their favourite superstar. If Lingaa continues to rock at the box office then we are pretty sure it will enter the Rs 100 crore club.</div>
