Ever since Pawan Kalyan had decided to produce a film for his nephew Ram Charan Teja, there has been tremendous buzz around the film. With director Srinu Vaitla and heroine Rakul Preet Singh roped in for the film, the expectations from the film have doubled. Ans on the occasion of Ram Charan’s 30th birthday, we have some exciting news from the untitled film.<br /><br />A little birdie tells us that Ram Charan will be playing an action choreographer in the film helmed by Srinu Vaitla. It is rumoured that the actor is spending time at his Bangalore farm house where he is following a strict fitness regime to tone his body, to look like a stunt man. “Ram Charan plays the role of an action choreographer in the film.It’s an action based script and the actor will be sporting a rugged look,” said a source close to the actor.<br /><br />“The director wanted Charan’s character to have a macho look. Ram Charan has shed a few kilos and look leaner, lighter for sure. The actor will soon begin shooting for an action packed introduction scene,” added the source. Looks like the Yevadu star is leaving no stone unturned to look authentic for his next film. We would be eagerly waiting for the first pictures of his leaner, toned physique </div>

Shah Rukh Khan returned to the silver screen after a hug gap with India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun which was featured on &TV. The series was a game show which incorporated the aam janta and Bollwyood celebs in one frame. The format of the show was based on the celebrity guests coming in and choosing people from the given options. The selected people would then question the celebrities  and the latter would play to earn money and donate it to various charities.<br /><br />Today was the finale of the game show which saw the likes of Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar and Farah Khan. The four celebrites were invited to play the game for charity and might we add that they did a splendid job indeed! Be it the shaanapan or koti pe choti round, Alia, Anushka and the others played well and earned big bucks towards the end. But we can’t miss the subtle manner in which SRK was pulling Kjo’s leg! The actor was asked by a contestant on how many times he has seen his own film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham to which SRK turned to Kjo and replied,” I didn’t undestand the film!”<br /><br />Lol! At this moment Kojo’s expression was truly priceless and the audience was left in splits. Coming to Alia and Anushka, the two beauties proved that they do not like to give up. They were constantly at par with Farah and Karan who were in the opposing team and gave a tough fight to the latter as well. The episode ended with the four dancing on Alia’s hit number Saturday Saturday!<br /><br />All in all, the finale episode of India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun was worth a watch and we would miss SRK as the witty, hilarious and intelligent host on the small screen. We hope the superstar comes up with a season 2 soon!

The Cover reveal of Scion of Ikshvaku, the first book of the Ram Chandra Series from literary popstar Amish took place in Mumbai today. Bollywood Superstar, Akshay Kumar, unveiled the intriguing cover design during a press conference.<br /><br />Designed by creative agency Think Why Not, the cover depicts a distraught Ram shooting at Ravaan’s Pushpak Vimaan as it speeds away into the clouds, carrying his beloved Sita. As with his earlier book covers for the Shiva Trilogy, Amish has embellished the cover of Scion of Ikshvaku with a few ancient symbols that act as clues for his millions of readers to embark on a hunt to decipher his symbolic codes and discover the rich folklore of Indian mythology. Use of Symbology has been inherent in all his covers in the Shiva Trilogy as well. For example, on the spine of The Immortals of Meluha (Book 1 of the Shiva Trilogy), he has used the earliest discovered depiction of Lord Shiva in the form of the Pashupati seal, which was found in the Indus Valley civilisation.<br /><br />In his usual enigmatic style Amish remarked, “The cover has many symbolic elements seamlessly integrated into its core, with the intent to maintain the high standards of visual appeal that we have set with my earlier book covers. Many of these symbols on the cover and through the books are clues to my stories for those well-versed with Indian scriptures. Of course the cover has to look good as well! I am very lucky that a fantastic team worked hard to make this cover design to a very high quality standard,” he added.<br /><br />Gautam Padmanabhan, CEO Westland Ltd. was also present for the unveiling and announced that Scion of Ikshvaku is slated for release on June 22, 2015 and the pre-order goes live on the same day as the cover launch i.e. March 27, 2015! Amish’s readers can now pre-book their copies online exclusively on a popular e-commerce portal or at the nearest bookstore. When asked about his expectations from the new series he said “Amish’s first series The Shiva Trilogy has over 2.2 million copies in print, and gross retail sales of over Rs 60 crores, making it the fastest-selling book series in Indian publishing history. He is one of the topmost Indian authors of the 21st Century and we are confident that his next series too will be a blockbuster bestseller.”<br /><br />It was after months of speculation and incessant queries from readers that Amish had finally revealed the subject of his next book and along with it, the new series that he is planning to write at the Jaipur Literary Festival in January this year. Titled the Scion of Ikshvaku, the first book of the Ram Chandra Series and Amish’s next mythological-thriller traces the story of Ram Chandra, the son of Dashrath and the founder of what is known today as Ram Rajya, the perfect empire. “The series will be a fictional interpretation, a fast-paced adventure based on the many versions of the Ramayan, melded with historical theories and my own imagination,” Amish disclosed.
