After riding high on the success of Singham Returns, filmi punters said Ajay Devgn had dug a grave for himself by starring in a film like Action Jackson. After being panned by the critics left , right and center for being a nonsensical film, no one expected Action Jackson to do well at box office. But surprisingly, the numbers at box office have a different story to tell.
We hear that Ajay Devgn-Sonakshi Sinha-Yami Gautam starrer has got a decent opening at box office minting Rs 10.16 crore at the box office. While Devgn previous flick, Singham Returns raked Rs 31.82 crore at box office, considering the kind of response and word of mouth review we have been receiving, we are surprised that Action Jackson has managed to surpass Rs 10 crore on the opening day. The trade experts believe that the lukewarm opening of Action Jackson is all due to Ajay Devgn’s fan following and the real test of Prabhu Dheva‘s directorial is to make money in the coming days.
